Our kitchen window

A different one this time.

This one, a previous blip, faces due north .. . . Our kitchen window - north facing

This window is west facing and catches the beautiful glow of the late and low autumn sun streaming in.

The last of the summer flowers, sweet peas, nasturtiums, lavender and feverfew bringing colour and life to our home.

I love this time of year when the geese return and the swallows, swifts and ospreys head off for the west coast of Africa.

Gathering in firewood today for the months ahead.
Gathering in apples, berries, mushrooms, sloes, damsons .............
I feel some gin-making coming on!!!

Hope we have a repeat of the amazing winter of last year.
