The Latest Thing
Youngest son renounced the 'cello at the end of P7 and tbh I was not sorry to see the back of it, but now he is in S1 the appeal of music lessons has struck again. Music teachers are few and far between and those that do have jobs like to keep themselves busy by tempting back favoured pupils with ever more interesting instruments
The cello has been the bane of my life for years it seems....babymuppet also played, it seemed there was always a hulking great thing (or two) taking up space everywhere, in bedrooms, in the hall, in the car.....EVERYWHERE!!!
As an aside you might like to know that it is not impossible to get three children, two 'cellos, assorted school bags and a weeks tesco shopping into a Fiat Cinquecento.
It is cramped, but not impossible.
This is the latest addition to my list of motherly nagging reminders...a flute (have you got it for lessons?? have you practised?? have you sorted your music? WHADDYA MEAN THEY WANT YOU IN THE ORCHESTRA IN THE NEXT COUNTY AT FIVE PAST SIX THIS EVENING?????)
So far I will say it IS a lot more portable than a 'cello! I believe that is what is known as damned with faint praise.
