Homage to Esher

I'm back at school, sitting in on a physics class at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) in Amherst, entitled "Seeing the Light". It covers most everything about light, vision, optics and cameras, and is taught by Robert Hallock, a Distinguished Professor at UMass and fellow member of our photography club.

Bob's been lecturing on basic optics, and one of his demos involved this large convex mirror, in which more distant object appear further away than they actually are. To accompany the mirror, he showed this image by M.C. Esher, which inspired my self-portrait blip after today's lecture.

He still uses black-and-white film which he develops himself, making wonderful images.
