Faithful Hound?
Took the hound and TT (THE Tyre) out this evening ... it is getting difficult to fit walking into daylight hours! We had not been walking for long when Charlie shot off! He had spotted his brother Alfie, so this dictated part of the walk. Alfie was being walked by friends eldest son (15) who obviously didn't want to spend the whole of his walk talking to an oldie, let alone an oldie pulling a tyre! So after about 20 minutes he decided to take the short route home. Charlie obviously thought it was more fun having a walk with his brother, so thought he would take the shorter walk too!
After much calling & whistle blowing, my faithful, well trained dog sprinted back to me ... apart from it wasn't my dog, it was Alfie! eventually Charlie came with me (on a lead) and Alfie went with his owner. It's much harder work pulling TT, carrying my poles and holding a dog lead. All the small inclines suddenly became mountains. It was pitch black by the time I got home!
I left hubby cooking supper, whilst I nipped back into work for an hour to finish some time pressured jobs, as I am out the office for the rest of the week. I have a meeting in London tomorrow morning with one of our main customers. Oh what joy a drive up to town just catching the tail end of rush hour ....
I took this photo before I started my walk, so you can see most the light had already gone!
