What's this I see before me?

Katie has discovered her hands.... and as you can see, she is fascinated by them. She watches herself moving them, raises them carefully to her mouth, back down again, holds them in front of her, turns them over, looks, turns them the other way, looks some more!

We went to the Sure Start group today, Babbling Babies. It was lovely. They did lots of songs with little finger puppets, and scarves and fabric and stuff. There was a big area of tinys toys, and a nice group of mums with the same sort of age babies.

A couple of the mums even invited me to go with them to the play cafe after the session. This is something I've really noticed here, every where we went, we were made to feel welcome, people wanted us to join in. I thought we'd be frowned upon a bit, but we never were. And it made it all a lot more bearable.
