Jacky's Journey

Rubbers for a Rainy Day!

Some bright colours on a grey and dull day.
I have discovered a fringe benefit of blipping.... it helps clean the environment.
I mean very literally - or should that be litter-ably?
The other day while scouring vile, smelly alleys for blips, I came across a pile of (stinking, btw) rubbish that had spilled out of a bin bag. It was truly honking, but I felt there was something ornate in the way it was strewn about, so I took some pictures. I carried on along the alley, snapping cardboard, abandoned boxes and general filth and squalor. In the end, I decided to go with a different picture for my days blip. The day after, I thought I'd do the rubbish again, and trotted down the road again. Imagine my surprise - the alley was immaculate. It was as if someone had hoovered. Not a box was in sight, not a bottle, not a wrapper, not a newspaper. You could (just about) have eaten off the ground. Now, I've been along that alley several times and it's NEVER clean. I can only imagine someone spotted me with a camera taking pictures of rubbish and thought I was from the council - and decided to clean it up very quickly!
So there you go. Want somewhere cleaned up fast? Want rid of that old bedframe? Need that layby cleared? Just make sure someone sees you blipping!
