The Calm Before the Storm

After a beautiful day and this amazing sky, it started pouring just after sunset. I enjoyed a nice night in at home reading, opting not to go out the night before a public holiday. With the rain outside and my book nearly done and really getting good, I'm quite happy with my decision. Toward the end of the night, my girlfriend Mel came over (after dinner and drinks with her colleagues). We had a wonderful catchup talk and I left her asleep on my couch to read a bit more in bed before calling it a night.

I love this city. I love this life.
