Speedwell Droplets

Relentless rain today, it was still raining when I took this picture. I love how flowers hang on to the last - I think this is a common speedwell but it could also be a germander speedwell, there are many speedwells! Red campion is another wildflower which you can still see flowering in hedgerows way into November, a rich splash of pink amongst dead twigs!

But still an October delicate beauty & made more prettier in the rain!
