Queensland Holiday - Day 1

We woke up, got ready, packed the car and were out the door at 8am! We arrived at Cheryl's house at 9.30 and she drove us to the airport which was really handy.

The flight was good, Spence did well and we read books and watched a couple of episodes of The Chuggingtons on the laptop. We arrived in Brisbane and got a taxi out to Benita's house.

We got there just as the AFL Grand Final (the second one as last week was a draw so it had to be replayed a week later!) was about to start. I went for a run up the street to get some fish and chips as we hadn't had lunch! It started to pour with rain as soon as I left so I was quite wet by the time I got back!

We watched the Grand Final (which Collingwood won by 56 points or something), played with the kids, chatted to Benita and Miz and had a beautiful laksa for tea.

This is a flower off a tree in the backyard! We are hoping the rain stays away and the sunshine comes out in full force!! Queensland is the sunshine state after all!
