Here she is again...
...or maybe not. Chipmunks all look like they have been cloned from the same source, don't they? However, the features of this little one don't look exactly the same as the one that I blipped on Monday.
They are fun to observe when they're out in the woods, but my neighbor was none too pleased recently when a chippy sneaked in her open door while she was bringing in groceries from the car. It took her and her husband quite a while to get it out of the house...with the door slammed firmly behind it.
Nor were my daughter and her husband pleased when their air conditioner went out during one of our sizzling hot spells in June. The repairman came, opened up the unit, and discovered a dead chipmunk that had chewed through the wires and put an end to their AC. They were even less pleased when the insurance company told them it wouldn't cover the damage. So BEWARE of the cute little critter. One little chipmunk can cause one big headache for the homeowner.
I walked in the rain today, but it looks like the weather is changing now and the promised sun may shine for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to it.
