kitty timeout

i wasn't planning on blipping gracie today... or really at all again. i don't want to get into the habit of using her because i think there are so many more exciting and/or interesting things in the world to be photographing. but there are times when our furry loved ones take us by surprise and we have no choice... this was one of those times for me... i won't apologize for my apparent lack of control.

as i was fussing in a closet, i heard a noise in the bathroom...a kind of thump, thump. i thought that was odd and went to see what it was. there was gracie - standing in the sink looking straight up at the ceiling. at what i have no idea. i told her to hang on and went to grab my camera muttering to myself that she'd better still be there when i got back.

upon my return, she was turning herself 'round in circles in the bowl as though she was going to lay down. of course i was snapping and giggling - which was more like snorting actually... it's surprising she didn't jump right out due to the noise i was making! all of a sudden, she stopped her little dance - sat right down facing the wall and that was that.... she just sat there as though she'd been put into a timeout for bad behavior and had to stay right like that all proper - which she did for about 10 minutes. makes you wonder what was going on inside that little head of her's...
