Twinkle twinkle little star
Both boys at school today. So much driving. I slept for 2hrs this afternoon. Guess I was tired. Guess Reuben loves his new bedroom ;-)
Looked at some full frame bodies during school time today but still feel more excellent glass is a better investment despite the obvious benefits of full frame. It's unusual for me to have time all by myself as this would have been the time Callum and I would walk out whilst Reuben was in school there. And now Callum has taken his place. Oh, don't start me off, nostalgia.
Started to think about one of the art books I picked up from the library on women photographing their children and it made me think how wonderful a project to create a new version, from an entirely original perspective. The book would focus on the challenges women have had in becoming photographers in a traditionally male dominated arena and the unique relationship in photographic portraiture between a mother and child. Through companies such as Booksmart, the book could be published and sold to a wide audience. I've always loved creative writing and would happily write the introduction. What do you think Blippers?
Skyped Mum, Dad and his sister Auntie Kathleen over with them from Dublin, the first time she's seen the boys. Mum looked fantastic after her holiday in Croatia and Dad perhaps has better news and some hope in sight regarding surgery to repair the macula edema and partial blindness. They all ordered me to bed afterwards as towards the end of the call, I couldn't control myself yawning, and so whilst Jason took the boys to the play area, bed called, thus the extraordinary indulgence of an afternoon nap.
Am having a very relaxed week with my camera, 1 or 2 a day at best. Guess he and are pretty worn out.
PS Lips c/of my grandfather, Arthur, a Glaswegian. I didn't realise their beauty until seeing a photo of him dressed in military uniform of WWI. He was quite a stunner passing on his cheekbones and lips.
