Midway Moment

The fact that there are only two people in this photo belies the utter bedlam that was the Topsfield Fair today. I saw this little boy dancing with the carnival worker -- I think they may have been father and son -- through a break in the crowd. Before I even put the camera down, people spilled into the scene from both sides.


(This shot also belies the clear blue skies we were graced with today.)



Edited to add: I just looked at my year-ago blip and then looked out my back window. Our colors seem to be developing more slowly this year. There's still hope that we'll get some lovely foliage this year.
