A Rock in the Woods

It was a gloriously sun-filled autumn day, and we spent much of it outside. A hayride to the pumpkin patch in the morning and a hike in the woods in the late afternoon. I took my daughter to a couple of special places for the first time. First we went by these statues then further into the woods to Castle Rock, a towering rock formation that is perfect for scrambling on and around. We managed to find our way out of the woods by dusk.
