We had carpet on the floor....just

The icing on the cake of this stressful week was that the carpet didn't get laid on the office floor til 2 hours before the party started. Talk about cutting it fine!!

But it looks fantastic and the whole party went very well. It was probably the first time I've had to really mingle with work people - it's bloody harder than I thought it would be. First you have to know who the person is (harder than you might think when there's 100 people at the party) and then you have to stand and discuss inane business type conversation with them.

The highlight of the party was probably the food. Gave up the diet for this evening since there was no way I was going to be able to sit next to cupcakes and quiche and goats cheese wraps and not eat some!

Got home and my feet were aching like crazy. A sat and did his Blip and I fell asleep in bed watching Star Trek. Ho hum! At least it's over. :)
