Thistle Down

By Ethel

My Ideal

I always sort of visualized,
A man I couldn't have.
One who knew my feelings,
And was to me...a salve.

One whose heart is tender,
Whose touch is heaven sent.
One who tells me of his love,
And gives encouragement.

One who has a kindness,
Showing in his eyes.
Who has sweet understanding,
When my poor heart cries.

One who has a deep concern,
With a sincere, and inward look.
Who has the power to know within,
And often read me like a book.

For I always sort of visualized,
This sort of person in my life.
If I find him, I'd like to return full favors,
And be that kind of wife.
