Just the beginning.

A student of mine has taken on a very large scale project.
For this project she has chosen to wrap an eight foot tall box she has made with fishing line.
This photo is of that box on its side as she walks around it winding on the line.
She plans on then lighting it from within and allowing the light to play through the plastic line. Thicker in some areas and thinner in others, its effect is quite pleasing in person. The only problem is she has miles to go before it is totally wrapped. I am excited to see how it turns out, and I am even more excited that she took this upon herself and is following through on her proposal, even though it is a time consuming and mind numbing task.

I believe it will be worth it.
