Ticking off the jobs
Today my parents came up for a visit. It was also a good day for getting jobs done. After lunch and a play with Milo, The Boy, my dad and I headed out to B&Q and to do a food shop whilst my mum stayed at home and had a wander along the canal. Part of our B&Q trip was to look for paint stripper so that we can repaint the bathrroom. The previous owners in their attempt to make the flat more saleable by painting everything magnolia, had used the same paint in the bathroom as the rest of the house. This has left us a year on with peeling, flaky, bubbling paint. We couldn't decide on a colour so bought some little tester pots.
We also picked up the last bits to finally get our curtains up in the livingroom. It's amazing how much cosier the room feels now when they're drawn at night. Huge thanks to my Dad and the Boy for fitting the rail and getting them up.
We then headed up the canal for a nice meal at Zizzi's in the evening.
