Queensland Holiday - Day 12 - Dreamworld

We left for Dreamworld this morning just after 8am and arrived just before 10am which was when it opened! We hired a stroller so we could carry the bags around in it but it ended up being really handy for Spence too!

We had a ride on the merry go round and another ride then made our way over to Wiggles World via the Tiger enclosure. Spence loved the tigers and Kaz and I had never seen them so close before either!

We got to Wiggles World where there were only 2 rides. We had to line up for the 'Big Red Car' ride for half an hour and then it only lasted a couple of minutes! Spence had a ride on Dorothy's Tea Cup ride then we had some lunch (horrible burgers that were cost $21) then Spence played in the little kids play area for a bit. He had his photo taken with Captain Feathersword and Wags the Dog then he started to get tired and whingey so we put him in the stroller and he fell asleep!

Kaz and I walked around for a bit longer looking at the some of the animals that looked cooped up in their little enclosures. After being to Australia Zoo where the animals have so much space, it just looks cruel to see so many animals in such a small space! The turtles even had haps of slimy green moss stuff growing on their backs.

We left at about 1pm and drove home! Spence was asleep so we couldn't go any rides ourselves and the lines were pretty long anyway! We got home and then went over to my cousin Vicki's house and spent a couple of hours there. Kaz made another cake for her novelty birthday cakes website and so we took 'Spot' the dog over there and Vicki's four kids devoured it! Alright, we had some too!!

I played netball again in Bron's team, this time Sharon (Bron and Vicki's sister) played as well, so there were four of us from the same extended family. It was a harder game than last week and a couple of the girls on the other team were a bit narky and playing for sheep stations, so we roughed them up a bit!! We ended up beating them by about 15 goals!!
