Queensland Holiday - Day 13 - Waterskiing!

Rob had the day off today and Bron took the day off too. The weather was meant to be nice so they decided to take the boat out! We put the boat in the water then went down the passage in between Bribie Island and Caloundra.

There was a little bit of wind so the water was a bit choppy but still good for waterskiing! First Kaz, Spence and I went in the big biscuit but Spence didn't really like it so we took Spence off and then Kaz and I went for a spin a bit faster! It was good but Kaz hurt her shoulder a bit. Rob then had a go on the water skis then I had a go! I had never done it before but Rob told me what to do then got back in the boat and away we went! I got up first go which was awesome but then pulled my hands in towards my chest to stop me overbalancing which was a bad idea! It made me over balance!! I tried another time and got up again and then managed to go for about 5 minutes, up and down the passage a couple of times! I even kept upright for the first turn and then fell off for the second! It was such an awesome feeling though! I loved it!

Rob had another go on one ski then we dropped the biscuit off back to the car and picked up the gazebo and some fish n chips! We went back over in the boat to Bribie Island and ate our lunch, Spence played in the sand then we walked over the other side of the island to where the waves were breaking. On the way back home we drove up the canals to Pelican Waters which is where Bron and Rob used to live so it was interesting to see the area from the water!

We came home and then went and met some friends, Juanita and Brett and their three boys at the beach. Spence wasn't feeling himself again so he didn't play at the beach but we all went for tea at the Hog's Breath Cafe and he perked up there which was good.

We came home and then watched the end of the Gold Medal match of netball between Australia and New Zealand. It was so close but New Zealand just beat us at the end of the overtime.
