Noumi

Today being Noumi, in the evening AM invited me to the Durga Puja Pandal in Sector 9. It was the first time in twenty seven years in Bhilai that I went this close to Durga Maa in a Puja Pandal. The atmosphere was charged up with people performing the Aarti with fire in earthen pots. There was smoke all over and I had to process my snaps to make them look better.

While returning I saw this young lad selling colorful balloons. Celebrating these festivals in this manner is creating livelihood to so many people. I feel celebrating festivals is a must so that people may come closer, work together with a sense of cooperation.

Inspired by 'Hues from the far side' I tried a collage for the first time through Picasa 3. Sadly the admin of Blip told me that the date on which the fotos were taken was not there. I gave my explanation and I request fellow members to please educate me if I am doing something wrong.
