The lives of us

Roger

This is J's Dad's cousin Roger (not sure what relation that makes him to us) who lives with his sister, Catherine, on a small farm on the outskirts of our village. He used to keep a dairy herd but as he's got older has just three cows, a fallen-down cowshed and a collection of rusty farm equipment (definitely more blip material there). He and Catherine live almost exactly as many small-time farmers did decades ago - in fact, if you discount the rusty pick-up, old TV and Nokia phone, centuries ago - with the only heat source and means for cooking a Victorian range; a belfast sink in the outhouse as a kitchen sink and, until recently, chickens wandering in an out of the living room. As you can see, haircuts are an unnecessary expense!
