Sisters
Between Emily's school and water polo schedule and Gracie's school and swim schedule, they haven't spent as much time together as usual. Today Emily was at a water polo tournament in Modesto with her team and Gracie and I were in Lodi for day 1 of the Lodi Pumpkin Swim Meet. She was able to swim her first event and then we had to run to Stockton for her volleyball game at 12:00. We knew we were taking a chance on not being back for her next events and although we'd tried to predict the timeline, she ended up missing her next two events (the second by only about 5 minutes). Oh well, they won their volleyball game against Langston Hughes in the third game.
We had a delicious lunch at Panera Breads of chicken noodle soup and turkey sandwiches before returning home by 2:00. Doug had taken Jack to his flag football game in the morning and then taken Grant to his assigned time for Boy Scout popcorn selling at Podesto's. They didn't have a lot of luck selling popcorn--the prices have gone up so much, people seem to be balking at the expense.
Emily returned home around 4:30. This blip is of my two older girls reconnecting after a day apart. They've both been so busy lately that they really miss each other and need to spend time together catching up on everything. I love that they get along so well.
