Harvest Festival
Tonight was the Harvest Festival at Manlio Silva. The kids eagerly await this festival every year. They like to wear their Halloween costumes to the festival and. . .once again. . .I dropped the ball and didn't have their costumes together yet. I am always in awe of the resourcefulness of my kids. Josie was able to go through the dress up box and find part of a witch costume that was like a black robe and she added a piece or two along with a pen in the shape of a gavel and went as a judge. Jack wanted to wear his Star Wars costume from last year but it was too hot for the evening--so he went as a flag football player with his team shirt and a pair of shorts. Grant tried on his costume from last year and it was wayyyy too small--who knew he would grow! ;) so he wore his Boy Scout uniform shirt and shorts and went as a Boy Scout! Gracie decided not to dress up tonight and Emily was at a water polo tournament in Turlock and then headed off to the Homecoming Dance at Lodi High.
Although they were a bit disappointed that there were less games than in previous years, a good time was still had by all. Jack loved hanging out with the policemen and their policedogs as well as the firemen.
I picked up Emily around 9:30 as the dance was "lame" :) Probably a good thing as she leaves to continue the water polo tournament early tomorrow morning and Gracie has a swim meet in Lodi tomorrow.
