Day 6 - London
Our last day before heading home! We went up the London eye in the morning and enjoyed some spectacular views over London. From there we went past Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, Museum of Natural History, Royal Albert Hall and a couple of other landmarks.
We went back to Kensington Gardens and located the Peter Pan statue that I had been wanting to see for a very long time. I'm a huge J.M.Barrie and Peter Pan fan and was delighted to get a chance to view the statue in the surroundings where the character originated from.
On our way back to the hotel we passed this little squirrel who stole the show (and also the blip!)... I really wish I had a better lens with me at the time, as he allowed me to get pretty close to him without making any effort to get away. He just looked so cool, sitting there with this nut /acorn in his mouth, staring at me as much as I was staring at him!
I left Kensington Gardens with a big smile on my face and headed back to the hotel for a good rest, before a very early flight home the next morning. What a great holiday... The UK really is fab:)
