Along the wall of the boilerroom of unit EC 20
The cladding on this wall contained asbestos which was common in 1975 to improve the strength of the coating but in 2010 it is seen as hazardous.
So the complete building has to be fitted with new cladding....
This a look at the other side of the building.

These men hang around at 40-50 meters altitude in wind and noise (coming from the running unit).
Quite some job.
I was standing at the same height at the bypass stack of the gasturbine to have a look at the insulation.
(was not looking good....) In the view from 2009 Herman could look like this; now my glasses would melt...

Quite a busy day today; unit EC 4 starting up for testing after a major overhaul; Controlling a big water/steam leak and so on.


Sad message: we heard about the passing away of a collegue after a long period of illnes.....
