Polar Slugs in Training!
Late night (very tasty dinner a la Rosie)..... up early to meet my fellow Polar Slugs for a team bonding session!
We had planned a 20ish mile walk around Hindhead and Haselmere. It was slow going using LDWA instructions and we faced most weathers in our 6.00 hour hike, wind, rain, torrential hail, and beautiful sunshine.
This team picture was taken at the top of Gibbet Hill (before any downpours!). We got a little lost (missed a turning) so due to dinner imposed time constraints came back via the footpaths at the side of the A287, which was a continuous 2 mile uphill gradient. We managed a quick refreshment stop in the National Trust Cafe before heading home for a quick bath, then out for a pie supper fund-raising dinner.
