Quiet Day

Had a gentle morning walk with the Hound & husband. This is the view down river from the 'Sheep Dip'. This large cedar tree will turn a fantastic Orange over the next few weeks.

The Hound is still in the dog house; he is still escaping from the garden. You have to admire him ... he has chewed through one new fence, pulled down another, and scrabbled under it! So the research about retrievers being intelligent may have some truth about it!

When we were out for dinner last night, a friend offered us 2 spare fence panels. These have now been installed, and hopefully the garden dog proofed!

My sister and her three youngest children (the triplets) joined us for an autumnal lunch of sausage and mash. They had come over to collect a cabin bed that my kids had out grown. I also managed to pass on about 6 coats, 2 pairs of wellingtons, and some astros!
