More Morning Glories get going at last

To my amazement, our Morning Glory plants are finally getting going this late in the season. Please see also my Blip for Sunday 26 September for a fuller explanation.

They won't last much longer, unfortunately, now that the nights are getting colder.

Here is a one of the flowers of this group in close-up.

Near to these plants are several lots of Hollyhocks of a variety of colours. This one is a magnificent dark colour, almost black, and has a lustrous sheen about it.

These pictures were posted after a delay, because the very evening after I took these, I went out of action for about ten days.
