Escape from Baku.

Here's the reception area of our hotel in Sheki, North West Azerbaijan. After a six hour drive through a lot of rain and low cloud, it was a very welcome sight. The beautiful lanterns are unfortunately not locally made but brought in from Iran. Perhaps that should read 'fortunately'... we might have come back with a few had they been available locally!

We have friends visiting from the UK this week, so travelled up to Sheki to show them a little more of Azerbaijan.
