Can we use a broomstick?

Well, that would make the hole even bigger...
A "small" leak in the debris (mussel) filter AB at unit EC20...
One could try to hammer a broomstick in but maybe it's better to apply a patch of rubber and wood over the hole..
Definitive repair will take place on sunday when the unit is stopped.
The flow in this part of the system is 9.5 cubic meters per second..... not much pressure but plenty water!

Cause: maybe the rubber layer at the inside (to protect the steel from contact with seawater) is damaged.
We have to check that out when the unit is at standstill for a longer period; because we have to empty the cooling system completely then.

Also this morning: A leak at MP feedwaterpump at unit EC 6.
As that water is hot (103 deg. C = 217.4 F) it transforms into a steam/waterspray.
That will also be fixed next weekend.
