Party dudes

This is Ben (DS 's best friend) and his parents. They had his 18th birthday party at their home. They set up tents in the garden, put out lanterns, a fire pit and a pumpkin. Put beer in tubs with ice to cool and laid on soup and nibbles.
DD and I went to help set up. Then I took the parents out to the pub for a couple of hours, where we put the world to rights, but they shut at 10.30!! so early, so we went back to the party. The teenagers were just about to light the exploding cake . I decided to retreat to home, DS wanted to stay, so off I went.

It was windy in the night, and what with one thing and another, I didn't sleep much, but feel ok today, one benefit of getting older :)
Meanwhile back at party HQ : nobody got much sleep either ;)
