Let's Go!

Destination Unknown -- that's an apt description of our day. We planned to do a runaway weekend, especially on today the 29th -- a favorite and special day every month for us.

So we aimed for the coast, but had no reservation. We are sort of on a research journey looking for a place we can rent in January when my sister will come from Portland. So we pointed the car north and two hours later arrived in Santa Barbara.

The photo is from our second floor room, just across the street from the Pacific. (From my iPhone, so not so good.) one of California's Channel Islands can be seen in the background. We may travel further north tomorrow, but we won't head home till we absolutely have to.

No one knows we're gone! So keep it a secret, okay?! We'll keep you posted on our where abouts.
