Floating leaf

Crikey - what a night - we staggered home at 2am under clear skies having had a mega samba session in full witchy gear! Very funny to see people concentrating so hard when dressed as a witch (red veil, red fishnet stockings); someone from Shutter island (balaclava, dodgy moustache); someone very undead (green skin, serious eye problems) and someone who arrived in bright red wig and a long black dress who, once the dancing started, whipped off her skirt to reveal the most extraordinary combination of stripey tights and outrageous layered lacy knickers!! I went as the original bride of Dracula, meant to have a Transylvanian aspect but ended up looking more like a rather ill fortune teller. The samba was particularly fast and furious as we had several professional musicians amongst us, and today I have blisters on my fingers! I get to play the biggest drum which is very satisfying!

Lots of rain in the night but today everywhere is very still. This little leaf was just motionless on top of the small pond - I rather liked it.
