Delving back in time again today as I clear out my mothers house in preparation for rewiring.
All my old university notes and piles of other papers have hit the bin. I spent a couple of hours this afternoon burning yet more - I'm still smelling of smoke! I have another three boxes to sift through - it's amazing how much bumf you accumulate "just in case". Clearing it is cathartic however.
In the process, I came across job offers, sorry you're leaving cards, old pictures of colleagues, reunion letters, my old "joke book", pictures of Jane Fonda, the letter that said I'd been picked to play in an under-21 Scotland rugby team and a single of the theme tune of Dr Kildare on one side and Z-Cars on the other.
Under the dust, I'm beginning to see again the original house when I lived there. It needs SO much done to it now, the electrics are just a start.
Today's picture, unlike yesterday's has no connection really with my day today. I just liked the warmth of the sun on the remaining leaves of the virginia creeper and the texture of the stone wall.
Happy Halloween.
