Ireland
Left our friends in Castlecomber and decided to take all the wee roads up to Carrickfergus in the North. It took agood few hours with a stop here and there but we got there about 6pm and booked into a hotel. After dinner we called in to see hubbies nephew who is married up there for a couple of hours then back to the hotel.
Though it was a long day we saw all sorts of things we wouldnt have otherwise seen had we stayed on the motorway. Speaking of motorways, the Irish have a fantastic road network, far superiour to anything in Scotnland, they have much more considerate drivers and the traffic flow on the main motorway to Dublin was less than what the wretched A82 from Glasgow to Oban has!
Hubby loved it and is now wanting to go back, maybe sometime
Thanks to all our friends who were so hospitable and kind and fed us so much food that I need to diet fro the rest of the year!
