A play on a Sherlock Holmes book - the starlings are back & making their presence known. Earlier the garden was full of the sounds of different birds - a buzzard, a piping oystercatcher & even a moor hen! All being impersonated by the starlings! There were about a hundred of them around the fields & around half were in the garden. I so love starlings, they're such characters but already they're eating us out of house & home!
