The Angel

Today I went with the Photography club into Chicago to the Graceland Cemetery. If you havent been there I highly recommend it. Group tours about the history of the famous tombs and mausoleums are available.

Graceland Cemetery is one of the most famous and celebrated in Chicago. Some rather important people have made this cemetery their final home. The celebrities include Potter Palmer and his extended family; Marshal Field and his; George M. Pullman, who in his lifetime was both hailed as a social visionary and reviled as a heartless oppressor of the working class; thug-for hire Alan Pinkerton; visionary architects Louis Sullivan and Mies van der Rohe; all now lie in Graceland.
