An Honorable Politician

C and I went to a rally to show support for Senator Patty Murray, who's up for re-election this year. She's a great speaker -- no platitudes or pie-in-the-sky promises -- and she works tirelessly and successfully in the US Senate for the people of Washington state. But people are angry about the mess this country is in, and justifiably so. Unfortunately, their anger is misdirected, and Patty's opponent doesn't seem to care about truth in advertising. It's going to be a very close race.

I'd managed to find a space on the press stand, and Ann Chaikin was standing on a chair just a few feet away from me. Don't be surprised if our blips look alike -- we were even using the same camera and lens combination.
