A warning for the future
Once again Clare and I were out for a walk. She had gone to the library and I to the service garage to check on the progress on our Motorhome.
We went for a walk up the hill to the High School Hostel and then a cut through to this building that used once upon a time to be An Tuirean, the arts centre. I think it is now a learning centre.
Anyway I took the photograph for the road sign as much as anything else. It is a warning for all that use this hill road to commute from the west side of the island. When we get the winter snow it often becomes blocked. No one wants to get stranded up there.
However the alternative route is possibly three times the distance so I suspect it will continue to be used until it is officially closed.
The sign has a fold out section declaring the road closed.
