Before the Game

It was the first time we'd played petanque in three weeks, and it was a beautiful morning to be outdoors. This was a quick grab shot with the "toy" camera as the sun broke through the the fog, just before we started playing.

After the torrential rain yesterday the sunshine was very welcome, and not just for recreational and therapeutic reasons. Our builder discovered a leak at the side of one of the basement windows a few days ago, and conditions were ideal for removing the window, fixing the problem, and replacing the window. You can see some photos here. We're going to have the same work done on the other two windows on that side of the house, since they take the full force of the frequent winter storms from the south.
