grade 7s

i addressed this crowd of Grade 7?s today as they were about to embark on their last day of exams.

as most of them are around 11 / 12 years old i was surprised to hear the head teachers advice to them. it went something like this:

?don?t get too excited today that you?ve finished your exams. don?t go out to these end of exam parties. don?t get drunk. and to the girls especially, there are older men out there who have been told that they will be cured of AIDS if they sleep with a young girl. they will be out there tonight ready to take advantage of excited young girls who?ve had too much to drink because of the excitement of the end of exams?.

uncomfortable but necessary advice.
