Frosty Morning

There was a thick frost this morning covering everything. This single small leaf on top of my wife's car took my eye as I came back from buying the Sunday papers at the Colintraive shop. There were frozen swirls and patterns all over the roof of the silver Yaris yet it looked as if the leaf , even though it had been captured and pinned down by delicate fingers of ice, was still fighting to avoid incorporation into the overall pattern and was (so far) managing to remain defiantly and colourfully separate from it.
