Luminists' Marsh
Caving in to beauty must be contagious. Random Shots notes the urge in his wonderful recent shot. Resistance is futile. (Did the Borg enjoy collective beauty?) Beauty is so compelling, demanding and persistent.
I am fortunate that I can walk to (actually stand on any of my balconies and enjoy) the salt marsh. Martin Johnson Heade painted this scene in the marsh south of St. Augustine, 50 miles north of here. No wonder Heade and the Morans and Herzog and... loved the light of the golden hour in the Florida marshes. Florida sunsets changed their palettes.
