The causeway
The Christmas cake was a success - very rich and succulent, though it took five hours!
Bright, wild and exhilarating day. Chocolate crispy cakes with the infants then down to this shore on my way home. The rocky foreground is actually a causeway and the little island to the right is only accessible at low tide. Although right next to the road, it feels a wonderful wild spot and has amazing views east (this one) and west. The mountains form part of the Mizen Peninsula. The light was bright and very blue and the air bracing.
Arthouse tonight is a Romanian film - The Happiest Girl in the World. I'm a bit suspicious of a happy Romanian film as the few previous ones I have seen have been pretty bleak - a touch of irony perhaps?
