Airplane Fever

I used to buy this magazine at the local hobby shop in the town where I went to school. I started looking for each issue days before it arrived, and still remember the thrill when I finally got my hands on it. I read every one from cover to cover.

I didn't have much money to spend on model airplane kits back then, and only built a few models during my teens, but I built many more in my imagination. My wildest dream was to have a radio-controlled airplane. I flew my first one in 2004. It's been flown many times, and broken and repaired a few times. Most of the damage was incurred in getting it out of trees and off roofs in our street. I only fly it in the park now.
