Work, rest and play

Working at home today, but I made what should have been a brief excursion up to the top of the Walk to get a few essentials - coffee from V & C mainly. It took twice as long as it ought due to Friday traffic and some new roadworks causing havoc outside John Lewis. I guess they started them in case we were pining for the tram works during the current hiatus.

Waiting for the green man at the top of Broughton Street I noticed this sign. Deep-fried Mars bars have a semi-legendary status; I don't know anyone who's actually eaten one. The thought of that much concentrated sugary greasiness sets my teeth on edge. I passed swiftly onwards.
