How can we ever forget?

This is Able Seaman William Geddes Brooks, or in other words my father.

He served during WWII, signing up under age because he came from a different generation where he believed in King and Country and was a strong believer in doing his bit.

He, unlike his brother, was fortunate enough to survive the war and having met my mother whilst serving went on to live a great life until 1985 when he passed away.

He like the countless millions who have selflessly given so much to all of us for whatever "duty" or cause they believe in should never be forgotten.
