sorry for the horrible image quality: a screenshot would have produced better results, but that would be breaking the rules of blipfoto. thus, i had to take a photo of my laptop screen with my camera. i can find only so many interesting examples from local freebie newspapers:(

this example features what could easily be mistaken as pages taken directly from a baby manual for dummies, aka the "gifted". the style is very step-by-step ikea-esque instructions on the do's and don'ts of baby care, complete with simple, black and white line drawings and caution/warning symbols. the clincher is that the 'wrongs' are so outrageous that these instructions are obviously mocking fun at the complete lack of common sense the 'wrongs' convey.

in fact, they lack so much common sense that they are actually quite funny. these instructions poke fun at the obviousness of the depicted 'wrongs' but the sad truth is, some of these don'ts are not so obvious to others.
