Victorian Mansion

This is "a magnificent Queen Anne Victorian mansion,"* just down the street from our apartment.

The building has ben divided into condominiums, like many large old houses in Northampton. It reminds me of the houses portrayed by the cartoonist Chas Addams--I haven't been able to ask the residents whether it's haunted.

*The quotation is from a display put up by the Historic Northampton Museum across the road, at the cemetery; it continues: "Built in 1895, [the house] commands the landscape as the main road turns toward downtown. A massive three-story tower anchors the southwest corner."
